FAQ

I delete everything out of my documents will my computer speed back up?
Deleting everything out of your my documents typically will not speed up your system. I would look into running the msconfig tool provided with your windows operating system.

I was surfing the web today an out of the blue I got a security warning saying my system was infected with like 8,000 viruses. I tried to run my Norton scan but it is not finding anything. However, no matter what I do this security warning keeps popping back up on my system and wants me to buy the fix. Do you have any advise for me?
You have what we refer to as the XP Antivirus 2009. At least that was the original name of the virus in May of 2008 when it first hit. And I am sorry to say it is about as nasty as they get. Within the next week or two there will be an e-book offered on this website which will walk you step by step how to get rid of the virus and any other viruses out there. But in the mean time e-mail me at service@oncallpcrepair.com and I will be able to point you in the correct direction.

Everything seemed to work fine until yesterday. My e-mail program (JUNO) can access the e-mail account directly, but NOT the web. AND, Windows’s explorer can’t access the web at all. *BUT*, if I use the browser, FireFox, I can check e-mail, surf the web, etc. without any trouble. All this cropped up yesterday all of a sudden. Did I change some settings somewhere? Oh, I’ve already scanned my PC for viruses using AVG. What’s the problem?
I would try to reset your internet Explorer first you will do this by going to Tools, Internet Options, and on the far right click on the advanced tab and then click the reset button this will set Internet Explorer back to factory defaults. Let me know if this does not work.

I have a HP I just bought last November. I have a blue screen popped on it after it crashed. Ran diagnostics on it, says memory failed. Not sure as why. But it crashes everytime I run it. Could you maybe tell me why its doing that? I fear thats a virus crashing my computer.
If the machine is less than a year old, its probably still under warranty and you should contact HP because it sounds like your memory have went bad and they should just replace it at no cost to you.
